Pink dahlia tubers from FAM Flower Farm
"The pink dahlia is a beautiful flower with endless possibilities for combinations. At FAM Flower Farm, you can order dahlia tubers directly from our own flower farm."
A pink dahlia has a soft and romantic appearance. Pink brings happiness and calm. And of course, pink dahlias are stunning eye-catchers that no garden should be without.
Combining pink dahlias
Pink dahlias pair beautifully with both bold and soft colours, including orange, yellow, purple and white. The pink dahlia Jowey Winnie is one of our personal favourites. More and more flower lovers are discovering this special variety. Dahlia Jowey Winnie has a wonderful colour spectrum and makes an excellent cut flower. Dahlias are also lovely to combine with tulip bulbs, narcissus bulbs or flower seeds.
Why are pink dahlias so beloved?
Our love for pink goes all the way back to our days as hunters and gatherers. Women were the gatherers and looked for ripe fruit, which often had reddish tones. That’s why so many of us, especially women, love pink so much.
The pink dahlia is truly unique. She has the X-factor. She is an eccentric diva, yet also a mathematical wonder. She comes in thousands of colours and shapes. For months, she gives all she has.

Dahlias in all shapes and colours
Dahlias come in many sizes, colours and forms. Pink and white dahlias are among the most popular. Some dahlias are true favourites of butterflies and bees, especially the single-flowered dahlias with an open centre. Did you know we have more than 100 different flower varieties in our collection?
Buying pink dahlias
You can easily order pink dahlias from us. Every order includes our free magazine full of tips, inspiration and a planting guide. We deliver the tubers to your home in the month you wish to plant. You can order them from 1 January to 1 June. If you want to plant the dahlia tubers in your garden, you can choose to have them delivered in May. If you'd prefer to grow them in pots, April is the best time to start. Lower-growing varieties are perfect for pots. They tend to bloom earlier and are less vulnerable to slugs.

When to plant?
Dahlias love warmth and should be planted in spring just below the surface, about two centimetres deep. They grow well in nearly any type of soil, as long as it's not too dry. Once planted, they need very little care. Water them regularly during dry periods. Taller varieties may benefit from some support to help them stay upright.
Dahlias bloom from July until the first frost. Unfortunately, they are not winter hardy and do not return on their own the following year. In mild winters, the tubers may survive in the ground, but during harsher winters, many will not make it.
