Wanneer narcissenbollen, tulpenbollen en dahliaknollen planten?

Planting narcissus bulbs and tulip bulbs

Tulip bulbs and narcissus bulbs love the cold; they need it to bloom. This is why they are best planted in autumn, in October, November or December. But beware not to plant the tulips/narcissus too late (after 15 December), as the bulbs need to make roots before the severe frost arrives. Both the tulip bulbs and narcissus bulbs are large in size, ensuring full blooms. Narcissus are early spring bloomers and tulips are late spring bloomers. We can’t wait! Even the newly awakened bees and butterflies will visit your garden.

Planting dahlia tubers

Dahlias are wonderful summer bloomers that originally come from Mexico. They love warmth. The tubers grow in almost any soil type. The soil must be well drained and especially not too dry. Plant the tuber about 2 cm below the surface. This way the tuber feels the warmth of the sun. The ideal planting time is in spring after the chance of frost has passed, so from mid May up to mid June at the latest.

Can narcissus bulbs, tulip bulbs and dahlia tubers be grown in pots?

Narcissus bulbs and tulip bulbs

Bulbs also do very well in pots. In spring the tulips and narcissi will sprout and you can enjoy your flower garden on the terrace. Plant them in large numbers, as tulips are also great as cut flowers. You can cut a few stems for indoors. In a dry spring, be sure to water them so they do not dry out in the pot.

Especially the lower growing dahlia types are very suitable for pots. Remember to water regularly in a dry summer.

Give your garden a spring boost!

After a long winter you long for spring. The pleasant temperatures and first rays of sunshine already bring that wonderful spring feeling. Tulips and narcissi complete the feel of spring. First you enjoy the early spring bloomers around you, the narcissi. Then come the late spring bloomers, the tulips. A perfect icing on the cake!

So don’t wait too long and plant your tulip bulbs and narcissus bulbs between October and mid December in your own garden. We offer five different types of bulb packages, perfect to brighten up your garden and give it the ideal spring boost!

Our favourite time of year

After spring comes summer more enjoyment in the garden. Once the narcissi and tulips have finished blooming, it is time to plant the dahlias again. You will enjoy a cheerful sea of flowers all summer long into late autumn. So plant a little joy in your garden! Dahlias are very easy and rewarding to grow in the garden, even if you don’t have a green thumb.
