How many seeds do you need per square meter?
Each packet contains enough seeds for approximately 1 square meter of flowers. This may vary by variety, so consider the mature size of the plants. A helpful tip: don’t sow everything at once. Stagger your sowing to extend the blooming season and have a backup if the first round doesn’t succeed. One seed can grow into a full plant, so give them enough room. Store your seeds in a cool, dry place – they will remain viable for 2 to 3 years.
How much sun do annual flowers need?
Annuals bloom best in full sun, with at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. But the more sun – ideally over 8 hours – the faster and more abundantly they will bloom. In shaded areas, flowering may be limited.
Planting instructions:
- Moisten the soil so the seeds adhere well.
- Cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil – check the planting depth per variety on the back of the packet or on this page.
- Use fertile, well-drained soil.
- Place the seeds in a sunny location and protect them from strong wind. Support the plants if needed.
- Water regularly and remove weeds.
