This fresh white Nigella African Bride is very decorative, featuring spider-shaped dark purple-black centres and cheerful, lively stamens.
After flowering, they turn into elegant crowns (seed pods) that can also be dried.
Nigella is often called “Juffertje in ’t Groen” in Dutch.
The seeds are edible and known as “black cumin.”
