Marble Ball
Marbled jawbreaker Dahlia Marble Ball is remarkable due to its marbled coloring. Alluring rounded flowers which are a little larger than the pompom dahlias. The dahlia colors continue to surprise: white flowers with thick and thin purple of red stripes and sometimes they can be uniform red or purple. Because of this they give they appearance of being two different plants however all the bloom varieties come from the same plant. Dahlia Marble Ball is a ball dahlia, what is already said in the name. This is shown from the nearly perfect spherical shape. Price per 1 tuber clump

Tips
Growing dahlias? Easier than you think!
Dahlias are one of the most rewarding summer flowers you can grow. With their lush blooms and long flowering season, they bring months of colour and joy to your garden from summer to late autumn. The more you pick them, the more flowers they produce. So you’ll enjoy them not only in the garden, but also in your home – and you can even gift someone a cheerful bouquet. How lovely is that? And what’s more: by planting dahlias in your own garden, you’re supporting nature – butterflies, bees and other insects will thrive on your organically grown flowers.
No green fingers? No problem. Dahlias are surprisingly easy to grow. These are the basics:
Sunny spot = happy dahlia: Dahlias love sunshine! Choose a spot in your garden where they’ll get at least 6 hours of sun a day. Plant them straight into the soil from late April, once there’s no more risk of frost. Want to enjoy earlier blooms or protect them from slugs? Start pre-sprouting them indoors from the end of March in a cool spot.
How to plant them: Dig a hole deep enough so the top of the tuber is 2–3 cm below the surface. That way, they still feel the sun’s warmth. Water after planting and keep the soil slightly moist but never too wet.
How many tubers do you need? For a full flower border, we recommend planting 5–7 tubers per m² (approx. 35 cm apart). That way you’ll get a sea of blooms! Taller varieties tend to spread a little wider and may need more space than the shorter ones.
Care:
-
Water regularly once the plant starts growing, especially during dry weather to keep the soil lightly moist.
-
Check regularly that the plant is growing well and that slugs or insects aren’t eating your fresh young plants.
-
Pick flowers regularly – the more you pick, the more the plant will give back. Remove spent flowers too; it encourages new buds.
-
Dahlias are not frost hardy: in autumn, lift the tubers and store them in a dry, cool place for the next season.
