Orange tulip bulbs from FAM Flower Farm

"Buy orange tulips to add a bold pop of colour to your garden border. Shipped straight from our farm to your doorstep."

Orange is a vibrant, expressive colour that stands for joy and creativity. It grabs attention and adds a lively spark to your garden or flower bed. Orange tulips work wonderfully as colour accents in your borders. And of course, orange is also the national colour of the Netherlands. Fittingly, the tulip Royal Ad Rem blooms right around our national holiday—King’s Day! It’s an absolute must-have for fans of this celebration. Plus, this tulip spreads a lovely sweet fragrance, which is rare, because most tulips don’t have a scent.

Combining orange tulips

Orange tulips pair beautifully with the purple tulip Crunchy Cummins. They also look stunning alongside yellow and red tulips.

The ideal spot for orange tulips

Tulip bulbs need a sunny or partially shaded spot. We recommend dedicating a specific area in your garden just for tulips. This creates a much stronger visual effect than scattering them around. You can also plant them in pots to move them around as you like. After a long winter, we all crave spring. The warmer temperatures and the first sunshine bring that much-longed-for spring feeling, and tulips are the perfect finishing touch. All of our tulip bulbs are grown on our own farm, and we only send out large-sized bulbs so you’ll enjoy full, vibrant blooms.

Tulips come in many shapes and colours

At FAM Flower Farm, you’ll find all kinds of tulips in a rainbow of colours, each with its own special meaning. Red tulips symbolise true love, yellow tulips cheerfulness, and pink tulips gentleness. We also offer double-flowered and fringed tulips, which are extra special. Perfect as a gift for yourself or someone else!

Ordering orange tulip bulbs

You can order tulip bulbs from 1 July until early December. Our tulip bulbs are grown at our own farm near Lisse. Ordering from FAM Flower Farm is easy. Your bulbs will be delivered right to your door just in time for planting, between October and 15 December. Planting later than that might prevent proper root development. They will bloom in spring, typically between April and May, though that can vary depending on the season.

Planting orange tulips

Tulips love the cold, in fact, they need it to bloom well. That’s why October, November, and December are the perfect months for planting. You can also plant tulips in pots. Be sure to plant plenty of them, as tulips are suitable as cut flowers. You can cut off some flowers so you can enjoy them in your home as well.
